General Terms and Conditions of Sale

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale govern all commercial transactions concluded through the Daosium website.

1 – Scope of application of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (the “General Terms and Conditions of Sale” or “GTC”) form the contractual terms and conditions governing all product sales that Daosium carries out through its website www.daosium.com (the “Site”).

When the customer places an order on the Site, the customer confirms that they have read and accepted these General Terms and Conditions of Sale without reservation. Accordingly, these GTC exclusively define the contractual relationship between the parties and exclude all other terms or conditions.

In addition, the Seller may modify these General Terms and Conditions of Sale at any time without prior notice. In all cases, the Seller applies the version in force when the customer places the order.

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale govern all commercial transactions concluded through the Daosium website.

2 – Products

The Site offers food products, beverages, artisanal goods, and related premium items for sale. In particular, Daosium sources most of these products from small producers and artisans in Greece.

Depending on product availability and market opportunities, the Seller may add new product categories or remove existing ones at any time.

Furthermore, the Seller commits to supplying products that comply with all applicable regulations and quality standards. For reference only, the Site displays product photographs and illustrations; however, these visuals do not form part of the contractual agreement.

 

3 – Prices

The Site displays product prices in euros (€), including all applicable taxes (VAT where applicable) and excluding shipping costs.

At any time, the Seller may modify product prices. However, the Seller invoices products according to the prices that apply when the customer validates the order.

4 – Orders

Customers may place orders on the Site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To place an order, the customer adds products to the cart and completes the online order form, including delivery details and the selected payment method.

By validating the order, the customer fully accepts these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.In specific circumstances, the Seller may refuse or cancel an order when an ongoing dispute exists with the customer.

5 – Payment

Customers may pay for products using the following methods:

  • Credit or debit card,
  • PayPal,
  • Apple Pay,
  • Google Pay,
  • Revolut,
  • Coinbase.

At any time, the Seller may add new payment methods or remove existing ones.

To ensure transaction security, the Seller applies the latest security standards to all payments. By choosing a payment method, the customer confirms that they hold full authorization to use the selected method.

In the event of payment refusal by authorized institutions or non-payment, the Seller may suspend or cancel the order.

6 – Order cancellation and modification

Cancellation

The customer may cancel an order as long as the Seller has not shipped it.

If the customer requests a refund, payment providers retain any transaction fees already charged; therefore, the Seller does not refund these fees.

To request a cancellation, the customer contacts the Seller via the contact form or WhatsApp and clearly states the order reference.

Modification

If the customer wishes to modify an order, the customer contacts the Seller via the contact form or WhatsApp and provides the order reference.

However, the Seller processes modifications only when feasibility allows and before shipment.

7 – Delivery

The Seller delivers products to the address that the customer provides at the time of ordering.

Delivery times after order confirmation, the Seller prepares and dispatches orders as quickly as possible, depending on product availability.

Depending on destination and availability, the Seller offers the following delivery methods:

  • DHL Express
  • DHL Economy
  • Greek national postal service (ELTA) with tracking

After shipment, the Seller sends a tracking number to the customer. Using this tracking number, the customer monitors the shipment in real time, and the carrier provides delivery confirmation.

In the event of delay, loss, or delivery issues, the Seller may open a claim with the carrier. However, the Seller limits its responsibility to handing over the parcel to the selected carrier.

During checkout, the Site displays estimated delivery times for information purposes only. Accordingly, these estimates do not constitute a binding commitment. In addition, the customer bears all shipping costs, and the Site displays these costs before order confirmation.

Finally, the Seller declines responsibility for delivery failure caused by incorrect or incomplete address details or by recipient absence.

8 – Claims

Therefore, the customer submits any visible damage claim within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery.

9 – Right of withdrawal

In accordance with applicable law, the customer may exercise the right of withdrawal within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of product receipt, without providing any justification.

Return conditions to qualify for a return, the customer returns products unused, complete, and, where applicable, in their original sealed packaging. In all cases, the customer pays the return shipping costs.

Legal exceptions

The right of withdrawal does not apply, in particular, to the following products:

  • Perishable goods or products likely to deteriorate rapidly
  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed by the customer

  • Personalized products
  • Goods that the customer inseparably mixes with other items after delivery
Procedure

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer contacts the Seller via the contact form and indicates the order number.

After receiving compliant returned products, the Seller processes the refund within fourteen (14) days using the original payment method. In addition, this procedure does not affect the customer’s statutory warranty rights.

10 – Legal warranties

Greek law governs these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Furthermore, the Seller provides the legal guarantees required under applicable consumer protection legislation, including the legal guarantee of conformity and protection against hidden defects.

To invoke a legal warranty, the customer contacts the Seller via the contact form and provides proof of purchase.

11 – Personal data protection

The Seller collects and processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Greek data protection laws.

Personal data is used solely for order processing, customer service, and legal compliance purposes.

12 – Sale of alcoholic beverages

The sale of alcoholic beverages to minors is strictly prohibited.

By placing an order containing alcoholic products, the customer confirms that they meet the legal drinking age in the country of delivery.

The Seller or the carrier may request age verification before delivery and may refuse delivery in case of doubt.

13 – Customs duties, taxes, and import restrictions

For deliveries outside the European Union, customs authorities may apply import duties, local VAT, or clearance fees.

Consequently, the customer responsibility the customer is solely responsible for these charges.

The Seller cannot be held liable for customs delays, inspections, or product restrictions imposed by local authorities.

14 – Disputes

Accordingly, the parties first seek an amicable solution.

If no agreement is reached, the competent courts of Greece have exclusive jurisdiction.

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale remain applicable throughout the entire commercial relationship between the Seller and the customer.
